This exhibition featured 75 pieces that belong to the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the biggest museum of modern art in the Netherlands, providing an overview of the history of modern and contemporary art by presenting some fundamental tendencies, such as: abstraction, minimalism, pop art, the conceptual trends and their developments today. The selection of 68 artists included Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol, Mark Rothko, Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, Jackson Pollock, Barnett Newman, Georg Baselitz, Gilbert & George, Jannis Kounellis, Cindy Sherman, Julian Schnabel, Douglas Gordon, Jeff Koons and Marlene Dumas.
